Welcome to the Website of the Department of Vehicle Production and Engineering

The history of the department dates back to the foundation of the Technical College of Transportation and Telecommunications. In 1993, the Department of Materials Science and Technology and the Department of Vehicle Manufacturing were merged, creating the Department of Materials Science and Vehicle Manufacturing.

On 1 January 2012, a new chapter began in the life of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences, when, with the cooperation of AUDI Hungaria Kft., the AUDI Hungaria Department Group of Vehicle Engineering was established. The Department Group consisted of three departments: following the separation of the Department of Materials Science and Vehicle Manufacturing, the Department of Materials Science and Technology and the Department of Vehicle Manufacturing were created, alongside the already existing Department of Internal Combustion Engines.

As a member of the Audi Hungaria Faculty of Engineering, established since then, the department has continued its operation from 2022 under the name Department of Vehicle Production and Engineering. You can read more about the history of our department on the “History of the Department” page.
